We have partnered with Winemaker Todd Alexander. Todd is a true artist with phenomenal talent. His background began in Napa and culminated as the winemaker for Bryant Family Vineyard. Yearning for a challenge beyond Napa and beyond Cabernet, Todd ventured to the Northwest ten years ago. 

Since then, as the winemaker for Force Majeure (and several other brands he and his wife Carrie have launched), the duo have done more to put the Northwest on the modern, international wine stage than any other individual, brand, or corporation. Todd’s talents lie in his ability to express a site and vintage with freshness, transparency and minimal intervention, while achieving top quality. We have launched Cimento together to bring to life wine from specific sites that exhibit the terroir and fingerprint only found within these 3600 acres.    

Production is purposefully small. Yields are low as we focus exclusively on quality.   Quality is achieved by meticulous attention to detail, beginning with the plants themselves. Growing wine grapes in cobblestones is hard enough, but Mother Nature and climate change are making it even harder. We employ farming techniques centered around vine health at all costs. Our vineyards are farmed by hand. The attention to detail required to deal with cold, heat, wind, snow, drought, fire, smoke, and resultant disease pressure has never been harder. It requires constant attention and care. We employ sustainable farming practices and do not spare expenses or cut corners when farming. The best wines in the world are created in this same tradition of care.
